YOUR ROLE:

As a Site Development Engineer, you will be involved in land development, civil site engineering, and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting preliminary site evaluations, preparing comprehensive reports, creating construction drawings, writing technical specifications, and submitting permits for land development projects.

• Develop civil engineering plans and strategies for client review and approval
• Oversee and implement project plans and studies
• Cultivate strong client relationships to foster business development and secure new project opportunities
• Analyze reports, maps, surveys, testing, and photographs to devise effective project designs
• Provide expert advice on design, construction, and program modification
• Evaluate designs regularly to determine project feasibility, estimate quantities, and ensure practicality
• Collaborate with public agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for projects
• Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and compliance with design specifications
• Interpret construction plans effectively to facilitate client communication and address inquiries from colleagues, clients, contractors, or the general public

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; PE, EIT, or Designer/CAD Tech (proficient in site layout, grading, erosion control, water and sewer utilities, and stormwater management...)
• Hold or have the ability to obtain a South Carolina PE/EIT license - Designers will receive mentorship from experienced professionals
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology software (Hydraflow, StormCAD, or equivalent)
• Experience in stormwater management, including the design of detention ponds, infiltration systems, drainage systems, and familiarity with SCDHEC Stormwater standards
• Familiarity with the SC entitlement process is a plus
