Job Description:

We are currently in search of a skilled Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense Lawyer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Miami office. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in insurance defense, encompassing general liability, personal injury, property damage, and other civil litigation matters. The lawyer will be accountable for handling a caseload from start to finish, engaging in discovery, composing pleadings and motions, attending court hearings, and negotiating settlements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee a diverse range of insurance defense and civil litigation cases, including personal injury, property damage, and general liability matters.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to devise case strategies.
• Create and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients during depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution methods when suitable.
• Effectively communicate with clients, providing regular updates and offering legal guidance.
• Collaborate with a team of lawyers and support staff to ensure streamlined case management.

Requirements:

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida State Bar.
• Possess 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense and civil litigation.
• Extensive knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures.
