CLINICAL EDUCATOR / L&D RN

POSITION TITLE: CLINICAL EDUCATOR/NURSE EDUCATOR
Salary: $119,425 to $159,252 per year

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Clinical Educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes for patients and families, providing education and training to staff members, and assisting with resource management. This role involves planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based education to care providers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in their schedule, actively collaborate with others, develop partnerships, and be a team player.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Educator will include assessing the educational needs of staff, collaborating with stakeholders to develop annual educational goals, designing and evaluating educational activities, and providing feedback on the skills and competencies of clinical staff. The candidate will also need to stay up-to-date with professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards, incorporate quality management and improvement processes into educational planning, and participate in unit-based quality improvement teams.

In addition, the Clinical Educator will be responsible for coordinating the orientation and mentorship of new nurses, conducting daily unit rounds to remain familiar with patients and staff, and acting as a clinical resource. They will also be involved in the onboarding process for new staff and will develop and execute an annual learning needs assessment for all clinical and support staff.

Required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a nursing degree with appropriate coursework/training, a Washington Registered Nurse License, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, 3 years of recent experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery, and 3 years of experience in education within a healthcare setting.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Nursing Leadership, Nursing Education, or Clinical Nurse Specialist, as well as prior teaching experience.
