Our client, an esteemed law firm ranked in the AmLaw 100, is searching for a seasoned Associate Attorney to join their accomplished CMBS practice. This position presents a distinctive opportunity for a lawyer to specialize in litigation and transactions concerning commercial real estate finance, while collaborating with a renowned team of professionals.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Juris Doctorate degree from a top-tier law school, boasting an impressive academic record.
- Has Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Has accumulated a minimum of five years of experience practicing commercial real estate finance litigation and engaging in related transactions.
- Preference given to those with bankruptcy litigation experience.
- Proficient in overseeing discovery projects, such as generating and responding to discovery requests, document productions, and protective orders.
- Experience in motion practice, including research, composition, and overseeing filing procedures.
- Exemplary abilities in research, writing, and communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advocate for clients in high-stakes CMBS litigation and related commercial real estate cases.
- Manage and complete discovery-related tasks, ranging from composing discovery requests, preparing responses, to supervising document productions.
- Prepare and file motions, including both routine procedural filings and intricate substantive motions.
- Handle deposition preparation and oversee deposition-related responsibilities.
- Collaborate effectively with a proficient group of attorneys to deliver exceptional client service.
