CNC Boring Mill Programmer

Location: Canton, MI
This position requires a highly skilled CNC Machining Programmer with expertise in operating Horizontal Boring Mills or Vertical Gantry Mills for the production of low quantity parts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to efficiently program using G&M code or CAM software, combined with a thorough understanding of trigonometry and machining calculations.

In addition, the candidate should possess knowledge and experience in setting up and working with large weldments, fabrications, and castings. The machine used for this role is a 3+2 Axis machine, which allows for 5-sided machining in one setup, but it is not a true simultaneous 5 Axis machine. It is equipped with a Fanuc 15i-M Control.
Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software is highly recommended for this role.

The responsibilities of the CNC Machining Programmer include:
- Setting up and qualifying parts on the machine
- Programming the machine to perform all cutting functions on the part
- Operating the machine to execute the machining process
- Inspecting the machined part and completing inspection reports
- Dismantling setups and removing the finished part from the machine, with assistance as needed
- Repeating the above steps for subsequent parts
