CNC Milling Machinist Job Description
*Utilize programming and setup skills to operate CNC milling machines and perform various machining and cutting tasks.
*Proficient in the use of Cad/Cam software, specifically FeatureCam.
*Implement necessary adjustments and offset corrections to ensure part compliance with specified limits.
*Work under the guidance of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
*Ability to modify machine offsets and replace worn or damaged tooling.
*Assist in managing programs effectively.
*Accurately document all necessary information on work orders.
*Perform visual inspections of parts at prescribed intervals to identify any defects.
*Conduct required quality checks periodically.
*Thoroughly comprehend and follow written work instructions.
*Provide instruction to others on machine setup and operation.
*Collaborate in team meetings and maintain good working relationships with team members.
*Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
*Acquire basic computer skills for completing work orders.
*Experience in blueprint reading and ability to proficiently use precision gauging equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
