CNC Milling Supervisor

Location: South Lyon, MI
  • Supervise a team of 18 employees across 3 shifts.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and address any concerns they may have, while also providing motivation for optimal performance and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with all departments to support company goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of various machine tools.
  • Identify and diagnose machine malfunctions by closely observing and listening to operating machines or equipment.
  • Ability to determine the basic need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Independently perform basic setups with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Precisely calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining operations.
  • Conduct first part inspections and ongoing in-process inspections.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate completion of all necessary documentation.
  • Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area on a daily basis.
  • Thoroughly inspect finished work-pieces for conformance to specifications, utilizing a variety of measuring and inspection tools.
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret customer prints using basic GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2018 or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of G and M codes.
  • Efficiently and confidently perform mill setups for any job.
  • Efficiently and confidently perform lathe setups for any job.
