CNC Milling Supervisor
Location: South Lyon, MI
- Supervise a team of 18 employees across 3 shifts.
- Conduct employee evaluations and address any concerns they may have, while also providing motivation for optimal performance and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with all departments to support company goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of various machine tools.
- Identify and diagnose machine malfunctions by closely observing and listening to operating machines or equipment.
- Ability to determine the basic need for adjustments or repairs.
- Independently perform basic setups with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Precisely calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining operations.
- Conduct first part inspections and ongoing in-process inspections.
- Ensure thorough and accurate completion of all necessary documentation.
- Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area on a daily basis.
- Thoroughly inspect finished work-pieces for conformance to specifications, utilizing a variety of measuring and inspection tools.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret customer prints using basic GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2018 or equivalent).
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of G and M codes.
- Efficiently and confidently perform mill setups for any job.
