CNC Sales Engineer

Aspire Talent Solutions is collaborating with a prominent distributor of cutting-edge machine tools and related technology, offering engineering and support services to manufacturers of precision machined parts.
The team is expanding and seeking a CNC Sales Specialist to promote the sales of machine tool manufacturing solutions in the Western Pennsylvania region. In this role, you will establish long-term customer relationships, engaging directly with prospects and end users to facilitate comprehensive sales processes for metal-cutting and EDM machinery. This includes horizontal machining centers (HMCs) with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis capabilities, graphite machining centers, automation systems, and wire and sinker EDMs.

  • Responsible for managing the territory overall, achieving equipment sales targets, ensuring profitability, and handling account management for assigned product lines
  • Cultivate and strengthen new and existing relationships with customers, prospects, and suppliers to secure new business, drive revenue growth, and convert competitors' end users to our product solutions
  • Provide technical expertise, offer machine tool and part processing recommendations, and provide ongoing support. Aid in time studies, deal sheets, and quotations
  • Become a trusted advisor, educate customers on products, concepts, and industry trends to foster greater market adoption. Develop loyal brand ambassadors
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to fulfill customer pre-sale requirements, which may include in-depth product presentations and demonstrations, exploring automation opportunities, conducting test cuts, etc.
  • Deliver post-sales communication with utmost integrity and sensitivity to address challenging customer issues. Support service and parts needs to ensure exceptional end user satisfaction
  • Aid in crafting market- and industry-relevant information and collateral to share with prospects and customers
  • Maintain and update sales activities in CRM (Salesforce). Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to leadership as necessary
  • Take an active part in regional industry associations, actively engaging to attract new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the machine tool industry, product lines, and competitors
  • Prior experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Capital Sales is a plus. A proven track record in B2B sales is essential
  • Preferably hold a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical field of study. Equivalent practical experience will be considered
  • Completion of formal Sales Training is highly advantageous (SPIN, Challenger, IMPACT selling, Sandler, etc.)
  • Must possess a high level of technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and other engineering documents
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, CRM systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite is highly preferred
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, as well as attend headquarters and partner events
  • Valid driver's license and insurance must be maintained
