Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Commercial Finance

We are partnering with a highly regarded AmLaw 100 firm in their search for a talented Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Corporate Practice Group in the vibrant city of Chicago.

What You'll Bring:

• You hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from a prestigious top-tier law school with a stellar academic record.
• Bar Admission in Illinois or the ability to become IL barred in the near future is required.
• You possess 5+ years of substantive experience in commercial finance transactions within a reputable law firm.
• Your expertise encompasses at least one of the following areas: acquisition financing (leverage finance), agented syndicated secured financings (cash flow or asset-based), fund finance, and/or healthcare financings.
• You have a strong working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC.
• Familiarity with intercreditor agreements and agreements among lenders would be a valuable asset.
• Your drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are second to none.
• You thrive on meaningful client contact and hands-on deal work.
• Preferably, you have previous experience in a large law firm or commercial finance boutique.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be representing financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers in a diverse range of commercial finance transactions.
• Creating, negotiating, and drafting loan agreements, security agreements, and other financing documents will be among your core tasks.
• Your expertise in secured lending matters, including asset-based lending, cash flow financing, and fund finance, will provide valuable guidance to clients.
• You will handle intricate intercreditor and lender agreements.
• Collaborating with an exceptional team, including Corporate Practice Group's and Banking & Finance interdisciplinary team's leadership, on complex finance matters will be a significant part of your role.

Our firm offers a competitive compensation package including an annual salary range of $295,000–$300,000, based on experience and market factors. Additional compensation includes discretionary bonuses, firm-sponsored incentive programs, and a comprehensive range of employee benefits.
