Our client, a reputable law firm acknowledged in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is in search of a motivated and ambitious Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team based in Philadelphia. This position presents an exciting opportunity to handle complex defense cases involving mass torts, class actions, and professional liability defense.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate:

  • Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a renowned law school with a remarkable academic track record.

  • Must be currently admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation and/or general liability litigation.

  • Experience in handling mass torts, class actions, and/or professional liability defense (including skilled care facilities, hotels/motels, lawyers, architects and engineers, and sports teams) will be considered a valuable asset.

  • Possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Capable of drafting and presenting motions, managing discovery, and conducting/defending depositions.

  • Preference will be given to those with experience in state and federal courts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle challenging commercial and general liability litigation cases.

  • Prepare accurate and strategic pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.

  • Conduct depositions, develop litigation strategies, and provide assistance in trial preparation.

  • Manage discovery procedures, including document production and review.

  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective case strategies.
