Commercial Litigation Associate

Our client, a prestigious law firm ranked in the AmLaw 100, is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Litigation Associate to join their thriving team in Chicago. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic practice that offers a diverse range of litigation services across various industries.

About You:

• You have obtained a JD from an esteemed law school with a strong academic record.
• You hold a valid Illinois Bar Admission (in good standing).
• You possess at least 3 years of significant experience in general commercial litigation and handling various complex litigation matters, including product liability cases.
• Experience in insurance litigation will be regarded as a valuable asset.
• You have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, enabling you to draft and present discovery motions, conduct and defend depositions, and effectively manage document productions.
• You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and are ready to make valuable contributions to a growing office, independently overseeing case files.

Your Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, product liability cases, and other litigation matters.
• Draft and present discovery motions, conduct and defend depositions, and diligently manage all phases of discovery and document production.
• Work collaboratively with the litigation team to develop effective case strategies and provide exceptional counsel to clients in various industries such as energy, aerospace, automotive, and life sciences.
• Take ownership of case management and contribute to the growth and success of the office.
