THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

We are currently seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee projects primarily located in South Carolina. The ideal candidate should have experience working on projects valued at $8 million and above. Preferred experience includes working on K-12, Higher Education, Office Buildings, Hospitality, and general commercial construction projects. This opportunity has arisen due to the company's continued success and growth.

• Manage all site construction activities, including field personnel and subcontractors, to ensure project completion within schedule and budget. Maintain high-quality standards and enforce construction safety practices.

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
• Ensure completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with adherence to original plans and specifications
• Recruit and hire staff within company policies and guidelines
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, resolve problems, and order materials
• Thorough understanding of project plans and specifications
• Cultivate positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees
• Prepare reports, schedules, and coordinate completion of projects
• Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
• Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Conduct weekly progress meetings and provide accurate updates
• Review job cost reporting and assist project management in maintaining budget control
• Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback
• Manage site logistics and establish staging plans
• Collaborate with project management to schedule pre-construction meetings
• Review submittals for compliance and coordination
• Ensure quality workmanship by all parties involved

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

• Minimum of five years' experience as a commercial superintendent
• Proven experience with projects valued at $8 million and above
• Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production
• Previous experience managing large or multiple projects
• Travel required, primarily within the state
• OSHA Certification is a plus
• Safety and CPR Certification is a plus
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach

Relocation is available for experienced/skilled candidates
