Location: Nashville, TN
We are partnering with a prestigious national law firm seeking a dedicated and talented Associate Attorney to join their expanding Construction practice group in Nashville. This position offers a clear path for growth and an opportunity to establish a successful career in construction law.
Desired Candidate:
- Successful completion of JD from a leading law school with excellent academic achievements.
- Active Tennessee Bar Admission.
- 1–4 years of significant involvement in construction law, focusing on transactional aspects and litigation cases.
- Experience representing owners and developers in construction-related disputes, including claims of delays, liens, payment issues, and quality-of-work disagreements.
- Background in handling construction transactions, especially in the planning, negotiation, design, and construction phases of complex projects.
- Proficient writing skills, including drafting complex legal documents for both litigation and transactional matters.
- Prior experience in the construction industry before attending law school is preferred, although not mandatory.
- Preferred courtroom and deposition experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as legal counsel for clients involved in various construction-related disputes, representing owners and developers in litigation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Handle intricate construction transactions from inception to project completion, offering legal guidance on contract negotiation, project planning, and risk management.
- Collaborate with a team of accomplished attorneys in an engaging, challenging, and supportive work environment, contributing to both transactional and litigation matters.
