Our valued client, an esteemed law firm specializing in construction, development, and condemnation litigation, is actively seeking an ambitious Associate Attorney to contribute to their expanding Construction, Development & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Charleston. This is an incredible opportunity to tackle various complex construction lawsuit cases within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Candidate Characteristics:
- Graduated with a JD from a distinguished law school, earning excellent academic standings.
- Admitted to the South Carolina State Bar.
- 1–6 years of hands-on involvement in intricate construction lawsuit cases.
- Proven experience in composing legal documents, presenting vigorous arguments in court, and managing discovery, including interrogations.
- Outstanding research, writing, and communication abilities.
- Proficient analytical skills and the capacity to work autonomously or within a team.
Main Duties:
- Act on behalf of clients in complex construction lawsuit matters, which encompass negotiation, arbitration, and litigation in federal and state courts.
- Handle a broad range of litigation responsibilities, such as drafting legal papers, presenting arguments, and conducting interrogations.
- Offer counsel and assist clients in negotiating, preparing, and reviewing construction contracts.
- Engage with clients and collaborate with an accomplished and dynamic practice group.
