Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: $75-95K with potential for bonus

Job Summary of the Continuous Improvement Engineer: We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the implementation and execution of Lean processes and serve as a valuable resource for our leadership team, providing guidance and assistance on all lean-related matters.

Qualifications of Continuous Improvement Engineer:

  • Identify and leverage best practices in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
  • Assist in the development and identification of improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Evaluate and interpret industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements to develop robust procedures and instructions.
  • Investigate and correct quality issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities as a subject matter expert for the site Quality teams and/or senior Quality leadership.
  • Lead and facilitate projects generated from our High-Performance Team Board process.
  • Lead and oversee the installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer:

· An engineering degree is a requirement, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Must have experience in either Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • New graduates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditing is required.
  • Experience in CORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma is preferred.
  • Provide support to manufacturing, product, and customer quality processes in implementing process improvements.
  • Utilize knowledge and expertise to contribute to the development, application, and maintenance of prevention, root cause corrective action, quality control systems, and protocols.
  • Facilitate, communicate, and visualize process flow for stakeholders and teams.
  • Build relationships with leaders and individual contributors at various levels and influence culture through change management skills.
  • Apply proactive project management skills and risk mitigation techniques to implement projects effectively.
  • Design and deliver solutions that bring value to the organization and meet its needs.
  • Lead and develop projects with minimal oversight, set objectives, and guide others in achieving operational results.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Engineering degree is a requirement.
  • Clear and concise communication with all levels of the organization, ability to identify and communicate risks and opportunities, and create value statements.
