Automation Engineer

Join a well-established OEM/equipment manufacturer in the vibrant city of Santa Clarita, CA. This is a dynamic and expanding company that offers promising growth prospects for the right candidate. Our customers are spread across the contiguous 48 states, and occasional travel (10%-20%) may be required. Our business places great emphasis on customer service, and we expect our engineers to possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming with a primary focus on Siemens systems, although experience with other PLCs is also valued.
  • Proficiency in designing and programming HMI systems, primarily Siemens and IDEC, but familiarity with other platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience with data logging capabilities.
  • Ability to design and layout electrical panels and perform panel building and wiring if necessary.
  • Willingness to lend a hand whenever needed.
  • Capability to select and source components.
  • Ability to create component lists for ordering purposes.
  • Aptitude for providing electrical drawings to the panel builder.
  • Good mechanical skills to assist with equipment installation and servicing.

Desirable Skills (but not required):

  • Familiarity with ISO 9000, CE, or UL standards and the ability to guide us towards certification.
  • Capability to calculate load limits for structures such as lifting frames, gantries, and bridge cranes.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • IT skills for industrial connections and subnets.
  • Experience in communication and interoperability with other plant devices.
  • Background in production management.

Earn a salary of $90k - $100k based on your experience.
