Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  
  
• 5+ years of experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting role
  
  
• Strong job costing experience is essential
  
  
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Strong communication skills
  
  
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Position Summary:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in job costing and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the accounting function including month-end and year-end close, general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll
  
  
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
  
  
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with department heads
  
  
• Oversee job costing activities to ensure accuracy and profitability analysis
  
  
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  
  
• Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax preparers
  
  
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or MBA a plus
  
  
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries
