My client is a well-established metals manufacturing corporation seeking a skilled CONTROLS ENGINEER to join their maintenance and engineering team at their advanced manufacturing operation in Davenport, IA. This site has a long history of success and offers a stable work environment.

The Controls Engineers in this role will be responsible for overseeing automation and computer systems engineering to contribute to the Manufacturing Unit's safety, quality, and cost objectives.

This region offers an excellent low cost of living and provides easy access to schools, universities, and various mid-sized city amenities. It offers a nice balance between rural and urban communities.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. Visa Sponsorship is not available at this time.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering or a related discipline is mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in developing HMI/SCADA systems is required.
• Prior experience with Wonderware is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in working with Allen-Bradley PLCs is necessary.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networks is essential.
• Experience in SQL programming and relational databases is a must.
• Ability to build client/server applications is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing multi-threaded applications is necessary.
• Strong software skills in analysis, design, methodology, and architecture are required.
• Experience in managing and configuring Windows operating systems within a networked manufacturing environment is necessary.
• Must be able to collaborate with electronics troubleshooting Technicians on the shop floor.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
