Corporate Attorney–M & A Specialization

Location: Troy, MI

A well-established law firm in the metro Detroit area is currently seeking an experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney to join their team. This role will involve providing legal guidance to clients on a range of business matters, including contracts, agreements, regulatory compliance, real estate transactions, and taxation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, drafting contracts, facilitating mergers and acquisitions, advising on corporate procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.


  • Collaborating with businesses to address and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Playing a key role in corporate mergers and acquisitions, from initial stages to completion.
  • Assisting businesses in developing and implementing their company's structure, policies, objectives, and operational procedures.
  • Ensuring clients are aware of and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Resolving legal disputes through analysis of laws, argument development, evidence collection, and representation.
  • Drafting, reviewing, completing, and filing legal documentation related to business operations.
  • Identifying and reporting potential or existing legal issues to the appropriate authorities.
  • Negotiating contract terms, transactions, and settlements on behalf of involved businesses.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, federal, and international laws in all business processes and actions.
  • Managing multiple clients, cases, and legal activities with different deadlines.


  • Possession of a Juris Doctor degree, successful completion of the bar exam, and a minimum of 5-7 years of corporate experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
