Financial Controller

Our client, a fast-growing organization focused on delivering exceptional services to its customers, is seeking a proactive and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team in Naples, FL. Role Overview

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Acting as a strategic advisor and a tactical executor, you will ensure that the financial systems and processes are strong, scalable, and aligned with the company's growth plans. This role also involves aspects of human resources, compliance, and operational support, offering a comprehensive leadership opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the finance function, such as financial record-keeping, payroll management, accounts payable and receivable, inventory oversight, tax compliance, and internal controls.
  • Develop and present financial analyses, budgets, forecasts, and models to guide decision-making and provide insights to the leadership team and investors.
  • Act as the corporate treasurer, overseeing cash flow and ensuring adequate funding for growth through business operations and investor contributions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement a business intelligence framework that enhances performance, solves operational challenges, and supports scalability.
  • Offer actionable insights and financial recommendations to drive strategic decisions and achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage the company's financial and HR information systems to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with external accounting firms for tax preparation and other financial audits.
  • Continuously improve financial operations by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance individual contribution with team leadership, thriving in a "player-coach" role.
  • Experience in cash management, treasury functions, and establishing financial systems for growing businesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving accountability and results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in finance leadership roles.
