Tax Manager Position Open in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager for our client based in Lewisville, Texas. This HYBRID 3/2 opportunity focuses on corporate tax and the utilization of tax technologies, enterprise solutions, and business analytics in tax provision preparation. As a Tax Manager, you will directly report to the Corporate Tax Manager and provide tax insights and support to our finance team during periods of company growth. This position offers a developmental culture that enhances your technical experience in federal, state, and foreign tax research, ASC 740 compliance, and reporting.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Create global income tax provision and disclosures for quarterly and year-end SEC financial statements.
• Prepare separate company standalone year-end financial statements.
• Develop deferred tax reconciliations and tax basis balance sheets.
• Utilize data and analytics tools to analyze tax provision metrics efficiently.
• Maintain tax provision basis workpapers and systems like OTP, Sage, and Auditboard.
• Ensure strong SOX control environments and maintain high-quality audit documentation.
• Stay updated with changes in ASC 740 guidance and accounting pronouncements and ensure corporate compliance.
• Reconcile and substantiate tax account balances.
• Collaborate with tax subject matter experts on special projects related to mergers and acquisitions, including purchase accounting entries and discontinued operations reporting.
• Work with the Corporate Tax Manager and Tax Provision Staff on ASC 740 process assessments, solution design, development, implementation, configuration, and testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax
• At least 2 years of professional experience in corporate tax provisions within the United States
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes
• Preferred exposure to OneSource Tax Provision, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Query, PowerBI, and Viewpoint (but not required)
• Excellent research and communication skills with the ability to lead team discussions
