Preferred qualifications:
•Must hold a valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state, along with registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
•Certification to perform Mammography or the willingness to obtain it within 12 months of hire. ***
•Current BLS certification is required.
•One year of previous experience is preferred.
Working hours and compensation:
•This is a full-time position.
•You can expect a salary range of $63,400 to $95,000, along with comprehensive benefits. In addition, a relocation/sign-on package will be offered.
Your responsibilities will include:
•As a highly skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the human anatomy, which greatly assist radiologists in diagnosing various diseases and disorders.
•You will also provide support to physicians and Radiologists during examinations by administering contrast media and assisting in procedures as necessary.
•Your duties will involve identifying patients, explaining the examination process, positioning patients correctly, and conducting procedures according to established protocols.
•Safety will be a priority as you prepare and operate the CT equipment while adhering to proper radiation protection and precautions.
•In case of any unusual concerns or situations, you will promptly inform the Modality Lead, Imaging Medical Director, or your direct supervisor regarding staff, patients, and physicians.
•You will contribute to the daily stocking and cleaning of examination rooms, ensuring sufficient inventory of supplies through appropriate utilization, supply management software/hardware, or by informing the appropriate personnel for procurement.
•Clerical and image management tasks will be part of your role, such as preparing patients, completing required paperwork after each examination, and correctly identifying exams for PACS storage and review.
•You will actively participate in quality control and assurance initiatives, as well as provide administrative assistance to the supervising radiologist.
•Furthermore, you will enforce principles of radiation safety.
