Automation Electrical Engineer
  • We are seeking an Automation Electrical Engineer to join our team in Waukesha, WI. To be considered for this position, you must have a four-year university degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering, at least two years of experience in PLC programming, and at least four years of experience in electrical equipment design.
  • You will be required to travel up to 15% of the time, mostly within the domestic United States.
  • The salary for this position is up to $110,000.
  • Candidates must be United States citizens or Green Card holders.
  • This is a full-time position and remote work is not available.
  • As a permanent W-2 employee, you will receive full benefits.

  • This position is located in the Waukesha, Wisconsin area.

In this role, you will have the opportunity for advancement into management if desired. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing automation projects from start to finish
  • Serving as the electrical engineering expert
  • Assessing customer needs
  • Generating project quotes
  • Developing prototypes
  • Identifying automation project requirements and risks
  • Designing customized industrial automation machines
  • Creating electrical controls, hardware, and power distribution systems
  • Performing testing procedures
  • Programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Providing wiring support when necessary
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers
  • Traveling up to 15% within the domestic United States

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • A four-year university degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering
  • At least four years of experience in electrical equipment design
  • At least two years of experience in PLC programming
  • Ability to travel up to 15% within the domestic United States
  • Strong work history
  • Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder
  • Residence within a 45-minute drive of the Waukesha area
