Job Description: Pathology Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pathology Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Toledo, OH. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize microscopy to examine prepared slides for abnormalities and provide accurate diagnoses
  • Report negative cases using diagnostic codes and refer abnormal cases for further review by pathologists
  • Maintain detailed records of daily work performed
  • Thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Promote safety, compliance, and quality control

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited cytology school
  • 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
  • Excellent reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (including telephones, computers, analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes, and audible alarms)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience

You will receive training on safeguarding PHI and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, adhering to all applicable privacy and security standards.
