Forecast Analyst (job description)

The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing plant assets schedules, optimizing asset utilization, and ensuring customer inventory levels are maintained. This role will also involve analyzing performance data and demand patterns, as well as establishing and maintaining inventory levels to drive profitability and customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Develop production plan by utilizing customer forecasts, historical production, and shipment data

· Optimize asset utilization and monitor capacity by analyzing performance data and demand patterns

· Ensure profitability and service by establishing and maintaining inventory levels and run sizes for plant assets

· Manage inventory levels for assigned customer accounts and items as requested

· Provide production order quantities when needed for items with managed inventory levels

· Maintain regular communication with Customer Service, providing feedback on demand and inventory information

· Collaborate with scheduler for assigned assets to ensure planning understanding and meet customer needs

· Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on demand patterns, forecast adjustments, and inventory status

·Generate departmental KPI reports as required

Provide coverage for planning positions when necessary

Requirements

· Previous experience as a Demand Planner, Production Planner, or Demand Analyst in a manufacturing setting

· Proficiency in customer forecasting

· Strong analytical skills with a focus on data and analytics for forecasting and inventory planning

· Experience in inventory management

·Ability to professionally handle customer interactions and collaborate with internal stakeholders

·Degree preferred
