Dermatopathologist
Dermatological Pathologist - Irving, TX
Job Summary:
The Dermatological Pathologist is responsible for analyzing and diagnosing dermatologic diseases, providing clinically relevant pathological diagnoses, and collaborating with clinicians to deliver the best possible patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform regular pathologic examination of dermatologic biopsies.
Evaluate surgical dermatopathology specimens and deliver comprehensive diagnoses.
Collaborate with peer Pathologists on requested or necessary cases.
Participate in Quality Assurance programs to improve diagnosis accuracy and quality of care.
Train and supervise pathology assistants, residents, and fellows.
Conduct research activities, if applicable.
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and quality improvement objectives.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clinicians and the pathology community.
Enhance personal and company reputation through research, marketing, training, or leadership.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor with Anatomical Pathology Board certification or eligibility, and experience and/or fellowship training in Dermatopathology.
Hold a medical professional degree.
American Board of Pathology certification in AP or AP/CP.
Preferably possess significant expertise or fellowship training in Dermatopathology.
Hold or eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Massachusetts and other states.
Strong scientific skills in surgical pathology, specifically in Dermatopathology.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
