Looking for an experienced Hemodialysis RN to join our team in Louisville, KY? Help make a significant impact on patients' lives by providing exceptional care in the field of dialysis.

About the Role:

Join us in a full-time position where you will educate and support patients and caregivers who choose home dialysis therapy. You'll start by evaluating patients' readiness for home therapy through initial home visits. Then, you'll provide ongoing training and follow-up within a clinical setting. Your role will also involve managing patient care, creating nursing plans, and maintaining communication with physicians and healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Start, monitor, and stop dialysis treatments according to established protocols.
• Deliver age-specific care while adhering to prescribed hemodialysis procedures.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures and ongoing care.
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in research studies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with emergency procedures and ensure preparedness for potential evacuations.
• Manage inventory and ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment.
• Support team development by training and mentoring new staff members.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing school. A preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of RN experience, with a strong preference for dialysis experience.
• Current state RN licensure and CPR certification according to the American Heart Association.
• Preferred ICU/CCU experience and hemodialysis training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel.
• Proficient computer skills are a plus.
