Salary: $160,000 - $225,000 per year + Bonus + Signing Bonus + Paid Relocation

The Clinical Quality Improvement Manager plays a vital role as a member of the hospital management team. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and implementation of quality and patient safety programs, including performance improvement, patient safety, and accreditation. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing the activities required to support these services and ensuring a Culture of Safety is fostered within the organization. The manager also works closely with regulatory agencies, such as The Joint Commission and CMS, to maintain continuous survey readiness. Collaboration with the Medical Staff is essential in promoting evidence-based quality and safety practices that drive optimal patient outcomes. The manager is accountable for aligning quality improvement goals with organizational goals and priorities.

Minimum Education/Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in a health-related field
  • 5 years of relevant hospital management experience, or
  • Extensive hospital experience (>7 years) in the areas of responsibility

Related Skills:

  • Experience in quality/performance improvement, and as applicable, case management and other related areas of responsibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Performance Improvement, Outcomes and Quality Management
  • Additional knowledge in Peer Review, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Control Prevention and Reporting is advantageous
  • Analytical skills for interpreting and processing data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer operation, statistics, spreadsheets, and database systems
  • Current understanding of regulations related to Joint Commission, state requirements, and CMS
  • Familiarity with Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) guidelines and processes
  • Ability to lead and coordinate diverse groups of people
  • Capable of motivating relevant constituencies to embrace change in accordance with the organization's Commitment to Quality and clinical initiatives


  • Preferred: Registered Nurse
  • Certified Professional Risk Management Certification and/or Certified Professional Healthcare Quality Certification within three years of hire
