CLINICAL RISK MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR - HEALTHCARE

$100,000-140,000 + Bonus + Paid Relocation

The Clinical Risk Management Director oversees and manages various activities related to patient safety and risk management. Responsibilities include conducting investigations and analysis related to claims, performing risk assessments for new services, facilitating root cause analysis, managing the Patient Safety Council, and incorporating the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program. They collaborate with department directors and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance standards. This role also involves data analysis, reporting, education, leadership, and accountability.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience in Risk Management
  • If a Registered Nurse, must have a current RN license in the state of Nevada

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Knowledge of and compliance with The Joint Commission requirements
  • Strong adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to effectively work with clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public
  • Proficiency in PC applications
  • Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and overall departmental function
  • Thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures
  • Experience with techniques such as RCA, FMEA, and other quality tools
  • Detailed knowledge of regulatory principles, regulations, and standards
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards and CMS/DHS Regulations
  • Understanding of statistical analysis
  • Preferred knowledge of Six Sigma ("Lean")

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
