Director – Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities
As the Cybersecurity Manager, you will lead our organization's efforts to protect critical IT and OT systems and assets by implementing cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. You will oversee a team of security personnel and be responsible for establishing and maintaining secure technologies and processes.

• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategy, including plans, policies, and controls.
• Manage and maintain secure technologies for information and operating technology systems.
• Stay up to date on threats and implement prevention and resiliency strategies to minimize downtime and expenses.
• Lead and direct the cybersecurity team in protecting IT and OT infrastructure, managing security documentation, and monitoring and reporting on security.
• Oversee incident response plans and manage cyber incidents and crises efficiently.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability tests to reduce security risks.
• Ensure new systems align with security policies and data protection strategies.
• Manage the cybersecurity budget.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for security design and architecture.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
• Implement strategies to meet or exceed cybersecurity frameworks.
• Develop security reporting mechanisms and metrics.
• Facilitate communication between business and security teams.
• Manage endpoint and network security environments.
• Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and vendors for cybersecurity services.
• Implement security awareness programs.
• Provide technical support to ensure compliance with NERC CIP.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or cybersecurity (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in information security and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
• In-depth knowledge and experience with security tools, technologies, and processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Desirable skills: power generation, KACE patching, SumoLogic SIEM, ethical hacking, disaster recovery, scripting and programming languages.
