Note: This role requires employees to work on a hybrid schedule at either the Oakland, Los Angeles, or San Diego office in California.

Job Description

  • Take charge of the firm's attorney recruitment efforts, including hiring experienced lawyers and organizing summer associate programs.
  • Create and implement strategies to strengthen the firm's recruitment brand and market presence.
  • Oversee the onboarding and integration process for attorneys to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Establish and manage professional development programs to support the growth of attorneys.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to evaluate hiring needs and long-term talent strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal recruiters, and industry experts.
  • Ensure adherence to firm policies and legal regulations in all recruitment activities.
  • Manage and analyze recruitment metrics, diversity initiatives, and retention strategies.
  • Supervise recruitment support staff and provide opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in attorney recruitment or professional development, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Bachelor's degree required; certification in recruitment, retention, or professional development is a bonus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to devise and execute innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, legal recruiting software, and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
