Job Title: Director of Clinical Services / Director of Nursing - Hospice

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for hospice care to join our exceptional team. Summary:

The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) / Director of Nursing (DON) for our hospice program will be responsible for implementing the company's policies and mission. This includes maintaining appropriate staffing levels, achieving established standards and goals, and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the clinical program(s). As the leader of the local program(s), you will oversee staffing, hiring, budget monitoring, and provide leadership to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the management of all clinical operations in the hospice program.

• Supervise, orient, mentor, develop, and continually evaluate all patient care staff involved in care delivery.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, state and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring to maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

• Assist in creating the annual branch budget and oversee expenditures.
• Collaborate with clinical resources to manage patient intake, inquiries, and assess patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hospice setting.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospice clinical management.
• Understanding of the hospice philosophy, pain management, and the needs of terminally ill patients.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Hospice and/or Home Health Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is a plus!
