Director of Employee Services (Healthcare)

Base Salary: Up to $140,000 per year
The People Services Director is responsible for driving strategic initiatives to create a supportive and family-friendly workplace environment in the healthcare industry. This role focuses on fostering effective co-worker relations and implementing talent management practices. The Director will lead a team dedicated to enhancing workplace culture and policies, aligning HR functions with organizational objectives to address evolving business needs. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director collaborates with multiple departments to deliver strategic HR solutions to support recruitment, retention, and employee development goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Co-Worker Relations: Create and recommend program goals and objectives to promote a positive and family-friendly workplace environment.
  • Implement co-worker relations programs to enhance employee relations across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Identify staffing and recruiting needs and develop best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies.
  • Supervision & Staff Development: Oversee recruitment, selection, personnel policies, and employee training programs.
  • Develop educational assistance and training initiatives for employee productivity improvement.
  • Employee Relations & Issue Resolution:Investigate and resolve employee issues, including disciplinary actions and grievances.
  • Prepare and present reports on employee relations matters.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Create the operating budget for the Human Resources department.
  • Performance & Policy Oversight: Conduct performance reviews and provide recommendations on hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and update orientation procedures.
  • Recruitment Strategy & Collaboration: Lead recruitment activities and collaborate with Nursing Administration and Ancillary Department Leaders.
  • Leadership Communication & Training: Provide HR policy and procedure communication and training to director and manager-level associates.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry.
  • Preferred SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations.
This role requires an experienced HR professional with a demonstrated ability to build positive workplace relations, implement strategic talent management practices, and foster a collaborative problem-solving approach.
