Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the executive committee and shareholders, the Finance and IT Director will serve as a key strategic advisor and operational leader, with broad authority to drive organizational goals. This role blends financial stewardship, technological innovation, and operational leadership to optimize performance and profitability across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Leadership

  • Direct all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, general ledger oversight, billing, collections, and cash flow management.

2. Technology and Information Systems

  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of firm-wide IT systems, encompassing office automation, telecommunications, legal practice management, and litigation support tools.

  • Conduct systems analyses, operational audits, and cost-benefit evaluations to ensure peak performance and efficiency.

3. Strategic Operations & Leadership

  • Drive strategic planning, risk management, and organizational development initiatives.

  • Serve as corporate secretary, participating in shareholder and executive committee meetings.

  • Lead firm-wide quality control, operational planning, and general management functions to support long-term sustainability and growth.

4. Practice Management

  • Collaborate with firm leadership on lawyer recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives.

  • Oversee the quality control of legal work products to maintain the highest professional standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in executive-level law firm administration preferred.

  • Strong financial management and human resources expertise; MBA and/or CPA credentials preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven problem-solving ability and collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Commitment to a "firm first" philosophy and thriving in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Why Join Our Client?
This is a unique leadership opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact at a respected law firm poised for continued growth. The successful candidate will enjoy the autonomy to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives while working in a collegial, professional environment. This role offers both the challenge and reward of helping to shape the firm's future success.
