Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Director
Reports to: CFO, VP Finance Administration
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Remote position with periodic travel requirements to Hawaii
Job Description:
The Financial Planning and Analysis Director will play a vital role as a leader within the finance department. They will be responsible for overseeing various financial aspects, including planning, reporting, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, all located in Hawaii. Applying GAAP standards, this role is crucial in generating monthly/quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and reports for publicly filed 10-Q & 10-K. Working closely with business leaders, the FP&A Director will provide valuable financial insights and support to aid management in making data-driven decisions and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial planning and budgeting
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Implement cost control measures and analyze profitability
- Act as a strategic partner and provide decision support to the business
- Identify and drive systems and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing industry is mandatory
- Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of Hyperion Planning and JET reporting is preferred, but not required
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, including interaction with senior executives and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities
Willingness to travel periodically to the plant location in Hawaii is a must
