Director of Non-Profit Fundraising/Development

We are currently seeking a Non-Profit Fundraising Chief to continue building upon our recent accomplishments, which includes significant budget growth and the successful completion of a $24 Million capital campaign. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong fundraising skills, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. As the Non-Profit Fundraising Chief, you will be in charge of planning, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive fundraising, marketing, event, and volunteer programs for our organization.



Establish and lead all processes related to achieving the Development Team's goals.

Directly supervise the Development Manager, Sr. Marketing Manager, Event Manager, and Volunteer Experience Specialist, providing guidance and support to help them meet their objectives and maximize their impact.

Represent and promote our organization at events, churches, businesses, and other entities throughout the city.

Assist with media relations efforts as required.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising plan to enhance philanthropic support for our organization's mission.

Provide oversight and input on marketing, communications, event management, and volunteer engagement initiatives.

Donor & Prospect Management:

Build and maintain relationships with approximately 75-150 major and planned gift prospects through regular communication and engagement, dedicating 50%-65% of your time to direct fundraising efforts.

Ensure consistent and appropriate contact, facilitate solicitations, and provide effective stewardship to donors.

Conduct a minimum of 75-100 face-to-face visits with prospects and donors annually and participate in approximately 15-30 solicitations per year for gifts ranging from $10K - $250K or more.

Research and assess prospects, develop strategies to maximize giving potential, and identify new major and planned gift prospects.

Effectively communicate the importance of supporting key programs and projects, aligning prospects' interests with our organization's needs.


Maintain effective communication and foster collaboration with colleagues in Programs and Administration to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving fundraising goals.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.

At least five years of experience in fundraising, sales and marketing, or public relations.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate diplomacy.

Proven success in securing capital, program support, and endowment gifts.

Experience thriving in a complex development environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a personable and professional demeanor.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Internet access is required.

Experience with CRM software, such as Raiser's Edge or Salesforce, is preferred.
