Director of Nursing – Dialysis
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Chief of Dialysis Nursing to lead and supervise our nursing team and dialysis programs in Sarasota, FL. As the head of our Dialysis department, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, advanced clinical knowledge, and a dedication to improving patient outcomes. You will collaborate with a diverse team to develop and implement healthcare policies and protocols that prioritize patient safety and quality of care. This position involves strategic planning, staff development, and operational management to enhance the overall effectiveness of our dialysis services. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the nursing staff in the dialysis department to ensure the best possible patient care.
- Create, implement, and assess nursing policies and procedures related to dialysis services.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding dialysis care.
- Supervise patient evaluation, planning, implementation, and assessment of care plans.
- Provide guidance and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and professional growth.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the dialysis unit.
Requirements
- Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
- Have 12 months of nursing experience with an additional 6 months in dialysis.
- Ht RN required to have an additional 3 months of training in PD and Hd.
- Have previous management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of laws and regulations related to dialysis care.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with staff and patients.
- Show the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
