Job Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting the senior executive role (CNO) that oversees all nursing and designated patient care functions/services within the hospital. The lead nurse will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. They will be available 24/7 to ensure the smooth operation of the director's assigned areas. The lead nurse's primary accountability is to assist the CNO in delivering high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, ensuring the competence of clinical staff, and effectively managing resources related to patient care.
Responsibilities
Requirements for this position include an active and up-to-date registered nurse license in the state of practice. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership abilities, operational expertise in a hospital setting, and a strong commitment to advocating for the nursing profession.
Education:
Required: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
Preferred: MSN or master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or full-time charge nurse, or in a related position.
Certifications:
Required: Current license, certification, or registration to practice the nursing profession as required by state regulations; CPR certification.

Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
