Director of Quality

  • Ensures the organization's commitment to delivering exceptional quality in products and processes through the utilization of various tools and metrics.
  • Plans and executes comprehensive strategies to achieve quality objectives within the organization.
  • Collaborates with management to establish quantifiable quality goals based on customer and market demands.
  • Develops systems for collecting and utilizing quality data to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Leads the identification and implementation of enhancements in manufacturing processes to improve product quality and yield.
  • Establishes and maintains a streamlined quality issue resolution process to address identified concerns promptly.
  • Directly oversees the quality department, including Quality Managers and Engineers.
  • Develops and implements training programs to support quality initiatives and introduces new best practices.
  • Facilitates change management and encourages employee involvement to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as a liaison with customers to address quality issues and maintains open communication through personal contact and visits.
  • Fosters collaboration among team members and functional leadership to build an effective quality team.

Standard Work Areas & Processes:

  • Collaborates closely with the General Plant Manager and plant leadership team.
  • Plays a key role in creating and executing the factory's business plan.
  • Demonstrates expertise in Lean Strategic Planning and execution, with extensive leadership experience at the staff level.
  • Manages the hiring, direction, assessment, and development of the Quality team members.
  • Motivates and leads teams effectively to achieve goals.
  • Promotes the Commercial culture, fostering accountability, open communication, and high ethical standards.
  • Drives process and efficiency improvements across all functions.
  • Supports proactive Lean "Change Management" leadership to anticipate and address factory needs.
  • Demonstrates success in Lean environments, Quality deployment strategies, and continuous improvement within Quality and manufacturing operations.
  • Supports the Vision and Mission statement of the Commercial business segment.
  • Possesses exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication.
  • Delivers exceptional presentations to senior executives.
  • Preferred certification in Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Utilizes a wide range of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes.
