Job Description

As the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in our division's success. Working closely with the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning and execution, as well as managing daily operations. Your main focus will be on maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring effective communication throughout project lifecycles. Additionally, you will be in charge of overseeing technical personnel and promoting collaboration within the team. Building relationships with colleagues, customers, community officials, and municipal leaders will also be an important part of your role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all communications with customers regarding ongoing and new projects.
  • Recruit and coordinate contractors needed for project execution.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure timely service delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Lead kick-off calls involving stakeholders from Business Development, Finance, and Production.
  • Review Profit and Loss statements and oversee divisional billing.
  • Keep customers updated on project progress through regular milestone communications.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct customer outreach to gather data, assess new technologies, and identify solutions based on customer needs.
  • Assist in drafting customer transition plans and related documents.
  • Work with Operations Managers to define business requirements using telecom project management knowledge.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer and vendor contact details.
  • Monitor quality assurance and control reviews provided by operations and construction teams.
  • Resolve issues to ensure service deadlines are met.
  • Directly manage teams, handle recruitment, and prioritize employee safety and security.
  • Ensure compliance with project management and construction standards.
  • Support all phases of construction and service deployment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the telecommunications industry and construction standards.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with 10+ years in the telecommunications or utilities construction field.
