Senior Drilling General Manager

Our client is expanding their drilling services throughout New England and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the newly created role of Senior Drilling General Manager. This position offers significant opportunities for career growth and will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our operations.

Opportunity for Growth
As a Senior Drilling General Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Drilling General Manager to deliver and maintain high-quality drilling services across New England. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Geo Tech and Environmental drilling, excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), and proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Additionally, familiarity with related software is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who values attention to detail while remaining flexible in their daily tasks and responsibilities. This role demands both site-based and office-based work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, safety, and execution of drilling projects in the field of Geotechnical and Environmental Drilling on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist the Project Manager with job estimating by performing take-offs.
  • Manage and schedule field staff, addressing any field-related issues and resolving them effectively.
  • Maintain and track inventory of rigs, equipment, tools, and related materials.
  • Prepare for drilling projects.
  • Conduct drill site reconnaissance.
  • Estimate drilling projects and prepare proposals.
  • Provide support to job sites, including transporting supplies/repair parts to the field and facilitating the transport of samples from the field to the laboratory.
  • Offer operational support, including the preparation of invoices for review and management of timesheets and expenses.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in Geo Technical and Environmental Drilling is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction management degree or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have held a similar position within the past 2 years.
