DSP Communications Engineer (JN-21352)

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team. As a member of our team of electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists, you will be responsible for developing innovative digital signal processing solutions and communications systems to support national security defense.

What are the primary responsibilities of a Digital Signal Processing Engineer?

Working under general supervision, you will lead and guide small project teams in designing, implementing, and maintaining software-based solutions for modern communications systems. This includes algorithm development, hardware control, system optimization, and deployment strategies. With dedication and teamwork, you will ensure that our products are well-structured, thoroughly tested, and meet the needs of end users and customers.

What qualifications are required for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as C, C++, or similar languages on UNIX/Linux
  • Strong background in digital signal processing or communications theory
  • Experience with CUDA
  • Familiarity with ICE Cards
  • Knowledge of Mod/Demod
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance - US citizenship required

Preferred skills:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in system development, deployment, and leadership
  • Experience with X-Midas or MATLAB

This position is available in our offices located in Tucson, AZ, Denver CO, and Chantilly, VA.
