Design 1 Engineer (Job Description 2025)

Our client, a leading global Automotive Research & Development Firm, is seeking a talented Design 1 Engineer for their North American HQ. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth.

· You will be responsible for CAD/technical design and project coordination.

· As a Design Engineer, you will oversee the entire product development process, from Design to CAE, Prototyping, and Testing.

· Your responsibilities will include designing component parts and creating 3D math data and 2D drawings.

· You will serve as a communication link between customers and the design team.

· Assisting in identifying and meeting customer requirements, evaluating product performance, manufacturability, and cost management will also be part of your role.

· Setting and achieving project objectives, milestones, and ensuring timely completion will be crucial.

EDUCATION

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Experience and/or knowledge of CATIA is essential.
• 1-2 years of experience in the Automotive Industry is required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are vital.
• 1-2 years of relevant product design experience is preferred.
