Electrical Systems Technician
Location: Charleston, SC

This role follows a DuPont work schedule which includes rotating shifts, approximately 14-15 days off per month, and a consecutive 7-day break each month. Overtime pay is provided at a rate of time and a half.

Our client, a prominent manufacturer of specialized flat-rolled products, is currently seeking a collaborative Electrical Systems Technician. In this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of promoting safety, quality, and productivity through their continuous improvement efforts and technical expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on low/medium voltage motor control systems and Siemens/Rockwell drive systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues using PLC interfaces.
• Assist in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain precise records of maintenance tasks and contribute to the development of safety and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Hold an Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, possess military-equivalent electronics training, or have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate physical fitness for working in a manufacturing environment, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Possess knowledge of NFPA 70E/NEC safety standards and proficiency in reading electronic/electrical drawings.
• Show willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as necessary.

Preferred:

• Have 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting involving controls automation, electrical/mechanical repairs, and PLC interfaces.
• Exhibit familiarity with PLC logic, industrial automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and systematic troubleshooting.
