JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer based in Pittsburgh, PA who will be responsible for providing leadership in corporate engineering. This includes providing support for plant electrical systems, managing equipment installations, troubleshooting equipment, and offering support. The engineer will also work with PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, including some minor program modifications. In addition, they will work hands-on and actively assist the maintenance team as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • Candidates must have a 2-4 year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in an industrial Electrical Maintenance/engineering role.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidates must have experience working with PLC's, Operator Interfaces, and Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Candidates must have experience with PLC and VFD software applications, with a preference for Allen Bradley programming experience.
  • Candidates must have experience with Panel Building.
  • Candidates must have experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
  • Candidates must have experience with AUTOCAD Electrical.
  • Candidates should have a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as they relate to automation.
  • Candidates with experience in automation or robotics will be preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to discussing, improving, and adhering to safety standards.
  • Maintain a high level of support for safety by conducting safety observations, evaluations, and audits.
  • Participate in the development of electrical equipment preventative maintenance routines (PMs).
  • Oversee the scope of engineering work for plant electrical projects.
  • Manage projects as directed by management personnel.
