Electrical Engineer

Location: Elverson, PA

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer in the Elverson, PA area. This is a direct hire position and requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens or green card holders; sponsorship is not available.

Joining our client's team as a Power Systems Engineer, you will have a vital role in providing technical support within the field of Electronic Engineering. Your responsibilities will involve the design, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment components in our cutting-edge industrial melting facility. In addition, you will actively contribute to capital projects, provide assistance in maintenance activities, and carry out the following tasks:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in electrical and/or electronic engineering for our state-of-the-art industrial melting facility.
  • Design, engineer, install, commission, and test new equipment and upgrades, with a focus on capital projects.
  • Suggest modifications to improve the reliability, quality, and productivity of site equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to develop solutions for recurring problems.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting unplanned downtime issues.
  • Lead and support technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting large industrial power supplies, drives, and furnace components.
  • Utilize meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers for troubleshooting and diagnosing operating electrical systems.
  • Prepare reports documenting operational performance, achievements, projects, training, and maintenance work.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Have 3-6 years of practical experience working with industrial electronics and machine control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling industrial power supplies, drives, motors, and controls, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical components in a high-voltage industrial setting.
  • Possess competence in operating electrical test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers.
  • Desirable to have experience in programming PLC Ladder Logic, C/C++, C#, or C.net.
  • An understanding of mechanical systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, motor drives, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while effectively collaborating with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and project management abilities.
