Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing

Position Overview:
  • Support and oversee compliance with safety regulations and other regulatory requirements for equipment.
  • Monitor and track engineering expenses and ensure adherence to capital budget.
  • Assist in the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance teams to provide necessary support for efficient and cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to analyze product irregularities and recommend solutions, leading to cost reduction initiatives. Train and support team members on the production floor.
  • Identify performance issues through data analysis and technical knowledge, including waste reduction.
  • Assist in cost estimation, project justification, budgeting, design review, installation supervision, and commissioning. Explore new equipment, systems, and processes to enhance plant operations on smaller projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, working with relevant associates on EHS matters and facilitating communication across departments.
  • Support contractor management processes and periodically inspect contractor work to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams to achieve cost-effective objectives.
  • Preferred experience in equipment design and project engineering or project management.
  • Proficiency in computer-based technology, including programming and troubleshooting machine issues.
  • Knowledge of modern safety control systems and ability to design them.
  • Familiarity with electrical diagrams and experience in designing electrical control systems.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical CAD drawings and schematics.
