Electrical Power Design Engineer

We’re hiring a Power-Focused Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected team specializing in heavy industrial projects—including pipelines, refineries, and petrochemical facilities. This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary range of $110K–$150K, based on experience.
🔧 What You’ll Do:

Lead the preparation of detailed electrical design packages for PE stamping and regulatory submittals.

Produce technical documentation including:
-
Load studies, single line diagrams, and cable/conduit schedules
-
Lighting, grounding, and equipment installation layouts
-
Bills of material and construction specifications
-

Conduct site walkdowns, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning support for power systems.

Coordinate with project managers to ensure deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.

Contribute to proposals, technical scopes, and cost estimates for new project opportunities.

Provide occasional after-hours support for urgent client or internal needs.

Travel up to 25% for site visits and project-related travel, including air travel.
📐 What You Bring:
-
5+ years of electrical design experience in heavy industrial settings.
-
Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, and ideally API 500.

Proficiency in:

AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
-
Power system modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
-
Relay settings for GE Multilin and SEL devices

Familiarity with motor schematics, area classification drawings, and lightning protection design is a plus.

Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
