Our client, a well-regarded AmLaw 100 national law firm, is in search of a highly skilled and self-motivated Patent Agent to become part of their Patent Prosecution Practice Group focused on Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This is a thrilling and dynamic opportunity to engage in cutting-edge technological advancements while collaborating with a team of experienced and accomplished attorneys and professionals.
Desired Applicant Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.

Admission to USPTO is a prerequisite.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

Exceptional technical background and the ability to quickly comprehend intricate innovations.

Excellent communication and writing abilities, with the capability to draft superior patent applications.

Prior experience in a legal firm, engineering, or industry-based environment.
Preferred Expertise:

Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related fields;

Data science/artificial intelligence (AI)/network security/networking technologies;

Machine learning/AI (in addition to data science) and hardware security.
Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and carry out patent applications before the USPTO.

Conduct analyses on patentability and freedom to operate.

Collaborate with inventors and clients to develop and safeguard cutting-edge technologies.

Assist in devising patent portfolio management strategies.
