Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Processing Equipment
Location: Syracuse, NY
An International Manufacturer of specialty coatings is seeking a highly motivated hands-on ELECTRICAL ENGINEER for the maintenance and optimization of their state-of-the-art automated production line at their U.S. facility in Syracuse, NY. The Electrical Engineer will serve as the in-house expert for electrical maintenance, collaborating and coordinating with the company’s corporate automation team located overseas.

- Preferably a BS in Engineering in the field of electrical engineering, automation, or a related field, although the company will consider candidates with an AAS or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 to 15 years of experience as an electrical maintenance engineer, specializing in troubleshooting large processing machinery commonly found in industries such as paper, chemical processing, plastics, or metals. Experience with heavy equipment and industrial machinery is a must.
- Strong preference for experience with measurement and control technology, drive controls, and frequency converters.
- Desirable practical experience with Siemens automation systems such as S7, WinCC, TIA-Portal, Sinamics, and Profinet. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs will also be seriously considered.
- Preference for an independent and systematic work approach combined with excellent communication skills.
- Must have a genuine curiosity and openness to embracing innovative solutions.
COMPENSATION: Base salary target of $85K to $115K, depending on experience (may go higher). Annual Bonus: 3%
